Why is Beach Towel Larger than Bath or Pool Towel?

Why are people tripping to the beaches, picnics here and there, football, cricket, volleyball, tennis, etc., people busy spending more time outdoors? Yes! Because it’s summertime! It is the warmest season of the year and who would not take advantage of the warmer temperature and longer days? Schools have summer breaks and it is also the time for road resurfacing of chuckholes left behind by winter ice and snow. All these things are hidronic activities, making sweat glands more active, too. Towels never cease to come to the rescue. Of course everybody knows what a towel is! It is an absorbent fabric used for drying or wiping. Towel, be it a bath towel, beach towel or sports towel is a massively useful thing during summer. But why is beach towel larger and longer than bath or pool towel?

A bath towel is used for drying the body after bathing or showering. It is typically rectangular, with a typical size around 30"×60" (75×150 cm). Beach towels are used for swimming purposes to dry the body as well as extra attire while swimming in the beach. It is slightly longer than pool towel, because the pool is definitely smaller than the sea and less public. Is it the reason? Beach towels’ chief purpose is likewise to provide a surface to lie on. They are also worn for privacy while changing clothes in a public area, and for wiping sand from the body or objects. Beach towels often have colorful patterns to complement with the surrounding ambience of summer.

Other than drying things, beach towels are used primarily for comfort and hygiene purposes, to sit, lie, and stand on to avoid direct contact with the ground. Where nudity is common, as in saunas, bath towels are used to cover buttocks. Beach towels can be a make shift garment or blanket, or as an extra layer of clothing during cold season, or can be worn around the waist like a skirt or just under the shoulders similarly to a long dress, usually in a warm environment. Definitely, an ordinary bath towel is not sufficient to serve this purpose.

Duvets and Comforters, Are they the same?

Confused between a duvet and a comforter? Some retailers in the US confuse duvet to a comforter, one says: “. . . since you will be placing your comforter inside the duvet, it is important that the appropriate size be selected (Bed, Bath and Beyond, Sizing U Your Bedroom).” A comforter is the top layer of bedding, usually consisting of two layers of fabric, filled with either down or fiber filling. Down refers to the natural feathers used to fill cushions of pillows, bedding and upholstery. The material traps air to provide soft comfort. It is also a very warm insulator often used particularly in comforters.

Comforter
, an American English term is a type of blanket intended to keep the user warm and can also be used as a mattress pad. Like quilts, they are generally used with a set of sheets. In the United Kingdom, they are only known as special types of padding duvets. A comforter or a quilt can be used as independent bed covers.

Duvet, though similar to a comforter and/or a quilt in that it is also composed of two layers of fabric with an insulation substance, the difference lies on the fact that duvet is to be placed inside a duvet cover and not inside the comforter. A duvet cover is a giant pillowcase-like covering that fits over a duvet. It is open on one end, typically closed by buttons, ties, or a zipper.

Duvets originated in rural Europe and were made from the down feathers of eider duck. It is a French word meaning “down”. It is used on a bed as a blanket. Duvets are still commonly used in Europe as the most common form of bed covering. In some European countries duvet is referred to as any thick, warm blanket. In most parts of the world, comforter traditionally go on top of sheets and blankets, duvet is a single covering instead of the combination of these set of bedding.

Is there a difference between a duvet and a comforter? Whatever the distinction is, no matter how people in different parts of the world regard comforter as duvet, or duvet as comforter still, the fact remains that both are blankets that give warmth and comfort during sleep. They are the same as far as usefulness is concerned.

Maybe You Need a Buckwheat or Down Pillow

Many of us have experienced backaches, headaches and stiff necks after sleeping for hours. Instead of feeling refreshed, we wake up depleted and miserable. This usually happens when our pillows do not complement with our sleeping habits. Pillows are designed to provide support and comfort to the body. There is no reason therefore to suffer after getting up from bed. Nothing can improve a night’s sleep other than a suitable pillow.

Those who have suffered stiff necks and pains due to wrong pillows may use bucky or buckwheat pillows that are easily shaped to support your necks. Rectangular shape are available as well as the "U" shape that fits around the back of the neck and keeps the head from slipping into an uncomfortable and possible harmful position during sleep. The latter however is more desirable when travelling and sleeping on a sitting position. Firm or extra firm hypo down pillows may also offer you a buoyant pillow that provides proper spine alignment.

Buckwheat pillow is one with buckwheat as fills. Buckwheat is a plant, not a cereal despite its common name and the grain-like use of the crop. Neither is it wheat. Buckwheat hulls are used as filling for pillows and other upholstered goods. They do not reflect heat as much as synthetic fills. Sometimes they are marketed as an alternative to feather fills for those who have allergies. However medical studies concluded that buckwheat pillows emit a potential allergen that triggers asthma.

Hypo down pillow is one where the fills are down and hypoallergenic. A down is a layer of fine feathers found under the tougher exterior feather of a bird. It is a fine thermal insulator and padding used in jackets, bedding, pillows and sleeping bags. Powder down is a specialized type of down found only in a few groups of birds and are scattered among down feathers. The dust produced by powder down may cause allergy to humans.

If you are a softy, petite and small-boned and usually sleep primarily on your sides, you will be happy with hypo down pillows with a soft and medium firmness. It will prevent your head from being raised too high, thus promote blood circulation by keeping your neck straight your sides. Body pillow is also recommended as they are usually useful in providing support for those who sleep on their sides. These are also comfortable for pregnant women.

For average size, who usually sleeps on their stomach or stomach and back, to keep the neck in line with the spine, your sleeping habits require a little more support; medium to firm hypo down pillows will suit you best. Moreover, if you are tall or large, you may need a buoyant pillow that provides proper spine alignment. Surely, a firm or extra firm hypo down pillow will bring comfort in your sleep.

Always remember that pillows are like tricking balms to bleeding pains, cure our distempered mind and heals our fortune. They serve as refreshing dews or summer showers that quench our drooping and fainting consistency. So be careful in choosing a pillow for instead of comfort it may bring you discomfort.

Chinese Art Inspires

China’s early form of art made from jade, clay and bronze are noted for limpidity of details. Chinese porcelain is well-known for its high quality such that the word china has become synonymous with refined porcelain. The ancient work of art in pottery is lavishly elegant and refined, of delicate composition and artistry. Chinese ceramic technology is delicately captured in the deep diversity of lustrous black-glazed wares and magnificent white porcelain, so exquisite to amaze any viewer! These objects of art convey the familiarity of the artist to his materials and ticklish handling of his works. With the adoption of western techniques, oil painting has also become very popular in the global market.

Viewers will be fascinated by the literary works in frames, portrayals of myths and history. Chinese art inspires and fascinates anyone who has passion for art. It is a revered form of human expression and may be considered as a good choice for home decorators. It could blend well to the choice of luxury bed ensemble or to the living room furniture.

The sculpture, “Monkeys Grasping for the Moon” is of monumental significance, very symbolic. It signifies love for mankind, for a better world and the aspiration to achieve it. It squeezes out the spiritual nature of the artist.

Chinese paintings likewise, arouse views and sensation that transcends the boundaries of the art works. Spectators can treasure the refinements in the color and shades and its variations. The frail combination of colors and exquisite techniques of the artist reveal concealed imports and allegories, extended metaphors that leave the viewer with spiritual and aesthetic vibrancy linking him with the past. Indeed, Chinese art is a very stunning intermediary that connects the viewer and the world (“Chinese”, 2008).

A Tip to Cut Losses in Stocks

All offense and no defense seldom win the game. Indeed, a strong defense is the best offense. In the game of investing, unless you know how to protect yourself against losses, you can’t win big. Once caught up in a big venture, know when to sell your stocks and cut losses.

Mistakes are common even to the most successful investors. No matter how sound is your analysis, you’ll probably right not most of the time. It takes discipline and a lot of courage to accept mistakes, nevertheless, learn to cut short and limit losses. You’ve got to recognize when you may be wrong and don’t hesitate to sell your stocks.

How can you tell when you may be wrong? When the price of the stocks falls below the price you paid for it by maximum of 7% or 8%, then you will know that the chances of being wrong and the price you’ll pay for being wrong will most probably increase. It is important then to set a limit on loss to initial invested capital.

Success is not a product of luck but hard work. Success is not overnight. Of course you know Manny Pacquiao. From humble beginning he rose to the top due to patience and hard work. The Beatles were turned down by many recording companies in England before they made it big. When I was in high school, my English was very poor, now I can write articles. Einstein failed in math. The late former Philippine President Ferdinand E. Marcos, who was then regarded as the strongest man in Asia, failed in Political Science. Substantial gain in stocks takes a lot of trial and error. Thomas Edison tried on thousands of diverse materials from 6,000 samples of bamboo to chicken plumes before he was able to get the right fibril for his electric lamp.

Out of your ten stocks, most likely, only one or two may turn out to be salient and profitable. For the remaining eight, wait and hope. When the drop in price reaches the maximum limit, sell them. Keep trying until you make it big. Microsoft only made it big in l986-l992; International Game Technology in l991-l993; Cisco Systems in l995-2000, all with dazzling gains ranging from 100% to over 1000% (W. J. O’Neil, How to Make Money in Stocks).

What you hope or want, the stocks couldn’t care less. You don’t want to take a loss, so you can’t sell your stocks even if the price is dropping below your invested capital. You already incurred the loss. Whether you hold on to or sell them won’t change the value of your stock. If the price you paid for is $50 per share, for 1,000 shares, and the price drops to $25 per share, you already incurred a loss of $25,000. It is still worth $25,000. Keep it and wait for the price to rise? Think more objectively! Sell your stocks and buy other stocks and you will be better off taking the chance to recuperate from your losses. There are many other stocks to choose from.

Seldom, investors are able to think logically when confronted with such failure. They rationalize that the fall in price won’t go any lower thus, continuously holding on to their stocks, anxious that selling at a loss could readily strip them off of their luxury bedding ensembles, a duvet and a sound sleep. As a result they incur more and more losses than they have expected until one day they will find themselves waking up on the floor without even a bed.

So heavy is the chain of wedlock that it takes two to carry it.

Are marriages made in heaven? Others believe so, but they could just as well have been made in hell when poorly wielded. In marriage, there are no crosscuts to happiness. It is very rare or none at all for two people to enter into an intimate relationship without friction from time to time. It is likened to a pair of scissors joined together but, most often move in different directions. Nonetheless, trouble befalls anyone who gets between them.

An everlasting marriage is one where the wife will not see the husband’s weaknesses and the husband will not hear her nagging. Well, in this case Montaigne is right when he jokes about marriage that “a good marriage is between a blind wife and a deaf husband.”

Finding the right partner is not enough to succeed in marriage. It should be based on compatibility. A partner must not always get things his or her way. Although heavily and roughly the trodden path it maybe, both parties are obliged to walk a common or parallel route.

Love, mutual respect and understanding, and concern for each other are important in any relationship. Sacrifices will have to be made for the sake of both partners. The partnership must come first before they think of themselves individually. Love in marriage is not just asking without any sacrifice. It is a give and take relationship. To overcome jealousy and suspicion, tolerance and understanding are also necessary to establish contentment and security in marriage.

Marriage is a blessing and the secret formula is understanding and correct but timely communication. It does not necessarily mean to exist with eyes closed, to see faults but blindfold to virtues. Accept the fact that no perfect person exists. The golden rule for a happy marriage is to avoid minor misunderstanding blown out of proportion. Avoid becoming angry at the same time. Human beings are by nature emotional that lead to tantrums and anger. Patience is required.
A wife is neither a servant nor a puppet at his disposal. Husbands should treat their wives with respect and consideration. It is also the duty of a husband to help in the household work whenever he finds time. Trivial matters should not be grumbled with. Mutual trust and respect must be given paramount importance to achieve a happy union.

Women consider anniversaries and birthdays very important. To keep the home fires burning, husbands must not neglect these important occasions. Show your love that you are always thinking of your wife through little acts of attention, that you always want to please her and her happiness is important to you. Courtship never stops in marriage. Inexpensive gifts will suffice, be it a simple duster, linen or a set of pillow cases and bedsheets, or a red rose or a chocolate bar; she will always appreciate and cherish it. It is not the gift but the attention that matters.

Sex has its due place in marriage; it is neither a servant nor a master. It is an important element in marriage but not paramount. One can have a good sex life and still unhappy. Real love is a spiritual communion, not just physical. It is a meeting of the minds, with mutual consent and responsibilities or commitments like ordinary contracts. Dr. Helen Kaplan of Cornell Medical Center says that without intimacy, there can be no real love. Intimacy is sharing of feelings, not information. Couples must make it a point to let each other know whether, they are happy, sad, frightened or any other intimate feelings. Be interested to know how their partner really feels. In marriage, exist not like a dead body living with another dead body.

Marriage and marital problems are interrelated. Getting married is facing certain problems and responsibilities. Lack of communication or interaction with members of the family is one factor that can be attributed to unhappy marriage. A stage will be reached when husband and wife do not even communicate with each other. When he returns from work, he will be engrossed with his hobbies and weekends are spent for golf or with other pastimes with his friends. He fails to observe important anniversaries or birthdays and does not express any feelings of concern for his wife anymore.

The wife on the other hand, after giving birth is no longer interested in her figure and appearance, sometimes dresses shabbily. The husband finds that he can no longer engage in a stimulating conversation with her. Life becomes boring that leads the husband to seek solace outside the matrimonial home. For most men, marriage is a goal which they set to achieve. Having done so, they will pour their energies and time to their career or business. The expectation of a woman is totally different. After being married, she expects more love and intimacy and seeks to spend more time with her husband.

Some people say that the first year after their marriage, the husband would listen to his wife. From the second year, the wife would listen to her husband. From the third year onwards, the neighbors would listen to both of them when they shout at each other.

Dissatisfaction arises. A husband now tends to see the greener pasture on the other side of the fence. He now starts to be attracted to other members of the opposite sex. Even for women, this restlessness can occur during the marriage. Boredom and disappointment with the partner is a common complaint.

For long-married couples, “happily ever after’ did not just happen. It has to be worked to keep the romance alive and enjoy the differences and learned from them. Even when things were really bad, do not quit. It is not easy to work things out. It must be earned through hard work. The road to marital longevity is full of bumps, economic crisis, stressful career, pressure of raring children, etc. Couples must refrain from trying to remake their partners. Maintain respect despite considerable differences in personality and heavy emotional load.

Willingness to work on the marriage is a must to a successful marriage. Love needs to be fed, nurtured with shared experiences, joys, sorrows and requires attention courage and understanding. There is no turning back, no quitting.

Worry not about the future

Success lies in doing what needs to be done now! We cannot go back into the past to undo the things we have done, so why worry about the past? We cannot also foreknow what may happen in the future. The world is unpredictable and constantly changes, so why worry about the future? The ability to shape the course of one’s life can only be done in the present, not in the past or future. Yesterday is but a dream and tomorrow is just a vision.

Avoid not being a plaything of fortune. People who are slavish to the future consult astrologers and fortune tellers and spend large amount of money to win at lotteries or gambling when told that some good luck will come their way; or on rituals, charms or amulets to avoid misfortunes when obliged by fortune tellers that bad luck will befall them.

Do what can be acted now in making wider use of your capabilities instead of unnecessarily worrying about the future. Health, family, income, fame and possessions are inherently unstable. Why worry over these things? Worrying unnecessarily about the future will lead to loss of confidence and may develop selfish desires. A person who is always trying to change his condition in life knows no peace of mind. The present is the child of the past and the parent of the future.

Great thinkers always recognize that it is the present which we have some conscious control. They believe that it is fruitless to live with memories of the past and with dreams of the future. Time is moving fast, we must not neglect the present moment and its opportunities. To build something today lies within our power and the choice is ours. “Only in the present can one stop or start doing a thing. Whatever castles he built in the air and whatever dreams he has in mind will come to naught if he does nothing about it (K. Sri Dhammananda, l996).”

If you plan to start a business like selling linens, bedsheets, comforters, etc. in the internet, do it right away. Strike while internet marketing is on the rise. Strike the iron while it’s hot. Forget above your past financial failures, if ever you have had before or never create a vision of future business empire as market is unpredictable. Be content of what you can do at the moment; just take advantage of what is possible at present.

Do you want happiness?

Yes, everyone, without exception wants to have happiness but, what constitutes happiness? How do we obtain it? How to obtain happiness differs from person to person. Happiness as viewed by some people, is something to become, it is something to be. It is the end of the rainbow, a pot of gold, and most unfortunate people spend a lifetime chasing rainbows, chasing what is in the external that they will never find because happiness is something that resides within.

Happiness is a fleeting thing. Men crave for happiness, so they work very hard day and night to gain happiness. Despite hard work oftentimes, they find happiness further than nearer to what they have tried to. It is feasible to think that happiness, misery, wealth and poverty are relative terms. One may be rich but unhappy; another may be poor but happy. Rich people cleave to their wealth foolishly and their catastrophe is their inability to rise above their wealth. The poor desire for material things, if they fail, they live with resentment. Thus, with the poor and the rich, happiness is not found in either case.

Happiness is a state of mind. It cannot be found in the material things around us. All the money in the world cannot buy happiness. Pleasure is not happiness. It is just a passing show. It can be bought, but not happiness. No one is said to be happy unless he is contented with himself. ‘It has been my observation,’ says Abraham Lincoln, ‘that people are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be (K. Sri Dhammananda, Why Worry?, l996).’

To restate, happiness differs from people to people; for me, happiness is having a good night sleep on soft pillows, fresh cotton linens and when I woke up, fresh orange juice to say hello to a new day. A good night sleep brings “happiness like a perfume that you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself (l996).” The real source of happiness is the mind, a controlled and cultured mind. Get rid of your desires and you will be free from unhappiness.

Where are you now, in hell or in heaven?

Were you faced with this most befuddling question whether or not there are places called ‘heaven’ and ‘hell’? This concept is as clear as mud to people. According to Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda, a prolific writer, “if you act according to moral principles, you can create your own heaven right here on earth. But when you violate them, you can feel the hell-fire on this earth itself” If everyone tries to lead a respectable life, we can all enjoy real heaven, a cloud nine in this world. To reward virtue or to punish vice, there is no need to create heaven or hell. In this world, virtue and vice have inevitable reactions.

Let me share to you a story I read from the book, Why Worry? by Dr.K. Sri Dhammananda. The story is entitled, where is heaven and hell? According to the story, there was once a monk who preaches heaven and hell, his favorite subject. Getting tired of listening to the monk, one of the devotees stood up and asked: ‘Tell me where this heaven is and hell? If you cannot answer me, I will call you a liar!’ Being an innocent person, the monk became afraid. He kept silent. This made the man angrier and shouted: ‘Speak to me or I’ll beat you up!’The monk gathered his wits and quickly replied, “Hell is around you now, with your anger.’ Realizing the truth, the man began to laugh. He then asked: ‘Where is heaven then?’ ‘It is now around you, with your laughter,’ the monk replied.

Heaven and hell are what we make of our lives. They exist in any part of the universe where there are living beings. Separately? No, there are no separate places. At this very moment, where are you now? I am in heaven when I am on my comfortable bed with my favorite soft pillows and linens and enjoy its comforts while sleeping. How about you, are you in hell or in heaven?

Beauty tips right at your kitchen

As the saying goes . . . . “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder” Yes indeed its true! But my daughter says, it’s right in the kitchen! Health is balance. To have beauty, the body must be healthy. To achieve this, eat balance diet. The kitchen is the cheapest source of all beauty secrets. Go, grow foods are indispensable to have a beautiful body and nice outlook in life.

Avocado is very rich in vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. It is best for dry or dehydrated skin since they contain so much oil. For instant glow, add a tablespoon of honey to mashed avocado and apply the mixture to your skin for 10 to 15 minutes. Lemon or kalamansi is also best for dry skin. Its acid helps restore the natural lipid barrier of the skin and help maintain its proper pH (potential of Hydrogen) level. Lemon juice or kalamansi juice is also best to whiten underarms, knees and elbows. It also prevents hair fall.

Sugar is best as scrubbing agent. Scrub a little sugar gently on your face and wash with water. Salt is also good for this purpose, but not for sensitive skin. Its rough texture may damage the skin. Orange juice is not only a healthful drink but also good for your skin. Dip your fingers in the juice and pat your cheek, forehead, chin and neck, then wash off after 10 minutes. A blemished skin is not adorable. To have a fresh and lovely clear skin, watermelon juice will be of great help. Apply the juice on your face and then wash it with warm water after 15 minutes and then splash on cold water.

For a great looking hair, olive oil is the answer. It makes an effective conditioning treatment for your scalp and hair. Before shower, massage it to your scalp and sit it in for 20 minutes (Rodale, 2008). To add luster into your hair, coconut oil, a cheaper but as effective substitute for olive oil, will also take care of this.

Exercise of course is not to be neglected. Walking is the best exercise. Brisk walking for at least 30 minutes will not only condition your muscle tone but it is also good for your heart. And of course, the kitchen is inutile without the comforts of your bed. Sleep is the golden chain that ties health and your body together. To have a good night sleep, comfort is necessary. Be sure that your body is well-supported by a right mattress and right pillows. Nice sets of beddings will also add comfort in your sleep.

Elderly beware, it’s painful indeed!

About four months ago I was suffering from severe neuralgia, a complication brought about by shingles. It was such an agonizing pain that I suffered insomnia. The pain was very stressful and depressing, much more when I learned that the anguish may last for months or even years.

I thought like ordinary chicken pox, shingles will disappear even without the help of medication. So I did not bother to see a doctor. Blisters are painless, you can live with it, however, the end result is unforeseeable. The complication did not graze my mind. Later, I realized ignorance of the disease is fatal, very disastrous.

It was too late then when I learned that to avoid complication, shingles must be medically cared for within seventy two hours. I was regretful that I did not see a doctor immediately. It was futile then to see a doctor at that juncture.

What was needed was over; the only thing left is pain management, to be discussed with the doctor as to the appropriate pain reliever. It was really grueling to wait and predict whether the pain will stay forever or not. I never stopped asking myself, “Do I have to accept it as part of my whole being for as long as I live?”

I am in my late fifties. I never heard of shingles before, so I was really caught unaware about the disease. Thanks to the internet. A little research broadens my understanding of herpes zoster, the scientific name of shingles. It is not the same as genital herpes that is sexually transmitted. Nonetheless, it is contagious. It can be spread to children or adult who have not had chickenpox. But, instead of developing shingles, they will have chickenpox.

Before I realize it, the critical seventy two hours had already elapsed and I was deeply disheartened to learn that I had the complication already. After a month, the blisters were gone, no scars were left, skin discoloration is apparent but the pain, the excruciating and debilitating pain lingered on and continuously injured me.

Herpes zoster is commonly known as shingles because of its small waterborne pebble-like blisters on the skin caused by herpes virus. My research apprised me that those who had chicken pox before are most probable victims of this disease. Shingles commonly occur in older people from ages 50 upward. It seldom befalls to younger people. The reason is obvious.

Chicken pox virus never leaves our body after the blast. They remain dormant inside. Once activated, the awakened virus travels through the nerve into the surface of the skin. With this struggle to resurface, there is friction and blisters start to appear like air bubbles in a coat of paint. The blisters are not painful; it’s the undersurface where the blisters appear that is unbearable. The only positive thing about herpes zoster, it attacks only a portion of the body, unlike chicken pox, it is all over.

In my case, only my left leg and a part of my left hip were grievously affected. It was ironic, there was numbness of my lower limb and yet the pain was unbearable. Only one side of my body was smitten. I did not mind the blisters; it is the agonizing sensation underneath that brought great discomfort and pain.

I really couldn’t withstand it. I suffered other illnesses before, but this one it was fatally unacceptable. More agonizing and disturbing is the knowledge that it may linger for months or even years. That time is indefinite and that what made me grieve more. I had an open-heart surgery before. It was painful too but I knew for sure that after the healing process, there shall be no pain anymore. The thought that there is an end to it is already consoling.

Not with herpes, I often asked myself, “how long shall I suffer, shall I accept it and live with it as it is?” I cannot forget the trauma until now that they’re gone. The feeling of despair remains and cannot even be forgotten as long as I live. If only I could roll back the time, I would never ever hesitate to take the vaccine.

This is one of the reasons why I fear the thought of getting older. Older people are prone to different kinds of pain. I hate pains. I have had enough of it, physically, mentally and emotionally. It is really hard to avoid the will of nature. Nurturing is a must, otherwise, you suffer. A simple neglect may cause mammoth regret.

During those agonizing moments in my life, my only consolation is my bed. Lying comfortably in bed with soft pillows underneath my afflicted leg somehow soothed the excruciating pain. Cool compress was a great help also. I tried expensive pain relievers but they only hurt my pockets, so I tried cheaper ones but the same, of less relief like expensive ones.

For psychological reason, I did not stop using a cheaper one, one with fast relief muscle relaxant. Muscle relaxant drugs somehow lessened my anxiety that helped me get some sleep even for an hour or two. Unexpectedly, my over dependence on the drug had made my skin extremely dry and rough.

I was compelled to use expensive ultra healing extra dry skin moisturizing with vitamin 3, and it works for my skin. It penetrates through five layers of skin’s surface to start healing at the source.
I really don’t know whether it’s the lotion or the fast relief muscle relaxant that heals me, but the tormenting pain is now over. Although from time to time I could still feel some pain on my knees and the surging sensation striking a nerve fiber in my leg, but the pain is now bearable. I could even forget I had pains. Soft pillows are still my comforts when it strikes from time to time.

Oftentimes, we do not give importance to little things in life. We cannot see their importance until we are faced with certain dilemma or suffering. Pillows for example, we only need them for sleeping and that’s it. Its role stops from there when we woke up and left the bed. I came to realize that pillows are not meant to give comfort only while we sleep.

For the whole period of my suffering from neuralgia, my soft pillows were my constant companions. Most of the time, they served as my beddings for my left leg, although the initial touch was quite disturbing. Afflicted parts are sensitive even to the touch of your clothing, even the gush of wind brought unexplainable and negative sensation. However, after a while the soft touch in my skin somehow relieves me for a moment of my suffering.

A tiny but firm pillow also served a lot while I was recuperating from my open-heart surgery. The wound was painful but that little firm pillow when pressed to my chest gave me comfort and relief like a caring fellow. Ah, pillows, unobtrusive but dependable!

Four months of tormenting sleepless nights, loss of appetite, immobility and very stressful expectation in life, sometimes you will choose not to live any longer than to live with it longer. I am luckier; I suffered only for a few months, while others take years. So elderly beware. Impair not your immune system. If you could possibly have a vaccine against herpes zoster, have it right away. You may not know when shingles will knock into your doors. I tell you, it is harrowing.

You can bear to remain single the rest of your life but you cannot bear to live with shingles for the remaining years of your life. However if the strike is inevitable prepare your comfortable bed, have soft pillows within your reach and pamper your shingles to relief with ice or cold compress. What thrills you, the top or the bottom?

Bunks beds are always at service to large families with kids. Some kids love the thought of hiding away in that top bunk as if it’s the highest tower in a far away castle in the sky. They wanted the top bunk because they are always told that it is the best, and who would not want the best?

However, there are kids who are afraid of heights and afraid to roll off and impair themselves, so they prefer the bottom bunk instead. Or maybe it’s not the fear of height or the fear of falling down that makes kids pick the bottom bunk. But rather that something they find more comforting, more tranquil, and more baseborn in that bottom bunk. While it’s true that the top bunk is like soaring in the sky, but the bottom bunk is just down to earth and the feeling of security is that something kids always wanted.

Nonetheless, not to adventurists for they love to soar upwards in the sky like a hawk, dance with the blustering wind and be on top of the world as they live out a dream. But if they fall, the bed will not catch them but it will always be up there in the clouds without a care while they endure the pain of falling from their dreams.

To these kids who prefer the bottom bunk, they think bed will always be there to catch them before hitting the ground. Indeed, it is better to have someone wanting you on the ground than to have someone lofting without you.

Whichever kids choose, mothers always wanted them to be comfortable in their sleep. For adventurous kids, they see to it that their sets of beddings match their nature and woolgathering. A safari adventure is more realistic with pillow cases and bed sheets printed with wolves, zebras, tigers, lions, etc. Soft pillows provide security to kids who are afraid to fall. Pillows are something like having someone to catch them before falling to the ground.
